Fish vs. Blake in Action-Packed Day One

Plenty of action will be seen at the Racquet Club of Memphis in Day one of the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships and the Cellular South Cup. The first evening match of the day will feature No. 7 seed Czech sensation Nicole Vaidisova against American Lindsay Lee-Waters. The 15-year-old Czech had a breakthrough year by winning the titles at Vancouver and Tashkent in 2004.

Following Vaidisova vs. Lee-Waters, American James Blake and Mardy Fish will face each other for the second time in their career. In their only previous encounter, Blake won 4-6, 6-3, 7,5 in the first round of San Jose in 2002.

Earlier in the day, Chanda Rubin is scheduled to play Russian Evgenia Linetsaya while qualifier Angela Haynes will play Marissa Irvin. Following Rubin vs. Linetsava in Stadium court will be 2004 Kalamazoo's under 18 winner Scoville Jenkins against Kevin Kim and former NCAA No. 1 Jeff Morrison against Frenchman Anthony Dupuis.
