Enqvist: "I worked really hard in December
and hope I can get back into the Top 20." Enqvist Responds to Your Questions
TE: Well I really hope so. I worked really hard in December. I tried to both put last year behind me but also learn a lot from it. I think I'm very fit again and from each match I'm improving. To get back into the Top 20 I need to play matches, and if you get in a good match routine and win consistently sooner or later I'm going to have a good week somewhere and move up in the rankings. Lina (Washington): After your 2003 season, what are your goals for 2004? TE: My goal first of all is to raise my level of tennis and come back to the level I think I was playing before. If I do that, the results will come afterwards. Torbjorn (Sweden): Why have you chosen Julius Demsburg as your new coach? What can he add to your game? TE: Julius first of all, has been a friend of mine since we were kids. He's a great motivator, he knows me so well and knows my game so well. The biggest key for me to work with him is that he is a great motivator, and he makes me work hard and motivates me to come back. Marcel: Are you stronger and more confident after the Davis Cup in Australia? Can Sweden go on to win the Davis Cup this year? TE: I definitely believe that playing all those big matches as it were is definitely going to help your confidence. Also, if you haven't won that many matches, to go and win two matches in singles in Davis Cup is definitely going to help your confidence. We have a very good team. Thomas Johansson is coming back from injury so that's a big plus for us in our team, and we have two young guys this year as well, so we have a good team but there are a lot of other good teams out there too. But we definitely have a good chance to win, yeah. Sveta (Cleveland): Which player, past or present, would you most like to play against and who would be your ideal doubles partner? TE: I would like to play Bjorn Bog. He's always been a big hero of mine. I've played Lendl, Becker, Edberg, but never Connors or McEnroeor Borg. The finished just when I started. That would have been fun to have played with them, especially Borg. I've hit with him a few times. As for the doubles partner, I like to play with either Johansson or Magnus Norman. But maybe I should say Magnus Larsson, because I've only won one doubles title in my life, and that was with him, so maybe I should say him. Philippe (Canada): What is the most memorable match you have ever played? TE: It's tough to choose one. If I have to choose, I played Boris Becker in the Masters in Frankfurt, with the atmosphere, that has to be one of the most memorable at least. Alicja (Poland): What sort of music do you listen to? Who are your favorite artists and if there was one CD you could take with on a desert island, what would it be? TE: I listen to a lot of different kind of music, but
my favorite band is U2, so it would have to be one of
their CDs, probably Joshua Tree.
