Players Acceptance List for The 2007 Regions Morgan Keegan Championships

Memphis, TN –The Regions Morgan Keegan Championships and the Cellular South Cup have received the Official Player Acceptance List from the ATP, confirming another stellar field of competition amongst the men returning to the tennis tournament, February 16-25, at The Racquet Club of Memphis.

Headlining this year’s Regions Morgan Keegan Championships list is the No. 5 singles player in the world, James Blake. Two other highlights of the tennis tournament are the return of No. 6 Andy Roddick and defending champion Tommy Haas, currently ranked No. 12.

The men’s tournament has also received commitments from the No. 1 United Kingdom player, Andy Murray, and No. 21 Dmitry Tursunov, from Russia, coming off the best season of his career.

The Cellular South Cup will be headed by Venus Williams, 5 time Grand Slam Champion and Sofia Arvidsson, last year’s Cellular South Cup women’s champion. In addition, Samantha Stossur, half of the world’s No. 1 doubles team and last year’s doubles champion is also returning.

The list for the men and women main draw entries is attached. Notice the cutoff for the men is a ranking of 83 in the world (very low) and the women’s main draw cutoff is 86 in the world, which is the lowest in tournament’s history.
